The short answer is absolutely YES! But the question is, do you believe it? Do you truly believe that God’s mercy is for you? Are you living your life knowing, believing and relying on His mercy? Are you experiencing the freedom that comes from walking in His mercy?
Unfortunately, many people don’t experience that freedom because we don’t always understand what it means to have the tender mercies of God.
If you’ve been hurt or deeply wounded in some way, it’s even harder sometimes for you to accept and receive His Mercy. But know this… God wants you to. More than you want it for yourself.
Psalm 136:1 says,
“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
God’s mercy endures forever! It never stops… it has no end… it’s totally there for you when ever you want it or need it. His mercy never runs out and it has NEVER weakened in strength!
What is mercy? The Webster’s Dictionary says:
- Mercy: compassionate or kindly forbearance shown toward an offender, an enemy, or other person in one’s power; compassion, pity, or benevolence, the discretionary power of a judge to pardon someone or to mitigate punishment, an act of kindness, compassion, or favor: something that gives evidence of divine favor; blessing.
Everyone of those definitions is something to get excited about. God’s mercy, His divine favor, His pardon to you… HIS COMPASSION is ALL FOR YOU!
Have you messed up recently? Have you sinned and feel shame? Are you hurting and you wonder if God is really for you? When we have doubts, we must remind ourselves constantly who God really is. Not who we “think” He is, but who He REALLY is! We have to remind ourself regularly that God’s mercy is for everyone… including you. His mercy… that never changes, lessens or weakens even when we do.
“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.” Hebrews 4:16 (KJV)
You can go BOLDLY into the throne of grace to get every bit of mercy you need! Not just a little, but EVERY BIT!
His mercy continues to reach you each and every day! Remind yourself daily of God’s Word to you. Speak it out loud: “the Lord is GOOD! And His mercy surrounds me everyday of my life!”
“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17 (KJV)
You can grow your own faith by speaking God’s Word out loud everyday. You’ll be stronger, more focused and you’ll begin to experience God’s peace at a new level when you do!
Praying for you!
